From the 1970s onwards, Laxeiro had a permanently reserved table at Café Goya. There, every day, he took a breakfast consisting of orange juice, coffee, and toast. After breakfast, he would go to work until around 2:30 PM when he would return for lunch: fish, usually. During the post-meal conversation, daily gatherings with people from the art and cultural world would begin. These gatherings could last for hours, during which Laxeiro would talk, sometimes draw on the tablecloth, or sing traditional songs. Those gatherings became an unmissable event in the cultural afternoons of the city.
